Designs Worth Doing and Adventures in Needlecraft were Mail Order Catalogs published by McKim Studios throughout most of the 1920s and 1930s. The catalogs offered hundreds of original Ruby Short McKim designs for functional household uses, home decorating and gift ideas. Many of the "treasures" offered here were offered in the original catalogs.
Keep in mind that these designs can be applied in many ways to many things–don't be limited to their original intent. Let your imagination guide you…the Telephone Book Cover can be embroidered on a scarf as beautifully as it can be painted on furniture or a wall plaque.
